Josh Vander Zwaag received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walden University in 2021. Prior to starting with Compass Tree Counseling, Josh was employed as a police officer for 12 years. Josh has a deep sense of compassion for all people and strives to make a positive impact and a difference in the lives of his clients so they can achieve their maximum potential and reach their personal goals. Josh believes in a strength based and solution focused approach while utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
